Milan, 16 May 2023 – The 26th edition of ISSA PULIRE, the international trade show for professional cleaning and sanitation, ended on Thursday 11 May. From 9 to 11 May the halls 8 and 12 of Fieramilano Rho hosted 373 exhibitors from 21 countries, of which 104 new exhibitors were welcomed.
The final tally is 20,058 participants over the 3 days of the event, a clear increase compared to both the 2021 and 2019 editions which is more than a positive sign for the participation of sector operators. The return of foreign operators has contributed to this impressive result, representing 33.45% of the attendance; the co-location with 3 trade shows, TUTTOFOOD, Made in Steel and Lamiera, has brought in additional value.
A total of 107 countries visited ISSA PULIRE 2023, including 29 buyers selected and organized by the ICE Agency: foreign delegations from the USA, Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, Kenya and Ghana.

the conference program that took place at the ISSA PULIRE Lab was to complete the offer of the fair. Over 100 speakers divided into 4 conference halls brought their important contribution in terms of training and professional dissemination. They addressed issues relating to new problems, procedures and processes with the aim of sharing their expertise in providing services in sensitive and significant sectors such as healthcare, food serving and hospitality.
Finally, ISSA PULIRE 2023 was enlivened by two competitions: ISSA PULIRE 2023 Product of the Year Award and Hackathon - Smart Facility: Cleaning Connected to the Future. The third edition of the Product of the year award which enhances research and innovation in the various sectors of the sector ended with ex aequo: XIBU 2WIPE hybrid by Hagleitner Hygiene International GmbH and DRC300Z HEPA - Cordless Robot Cleaner by Makita SpA won this edition. XIBU 2WIPE hybrid, by Hagleitner Hygiene International GmbH, is the world's first automatic wet wipe dispenser – in essence it is a touch-free surface-sanitizing wipe dispenser that dispenses cloth after cloth entirely; whilst also protecting its contents. DRC300Z HEPA - Cordless Robot Cleaner 18V, by Makita SpA, Cordless Robot Cleaners equipped with a camera and 360° laser radar that can map up to 5 areas and up to 10k sq.mt. The other finalists selected by the international jury were: BUBBLEFLUSH Ultrasonic Toilet Cleaner by C.A-L. ITALIA SRL, Envu Digital Pest Management by ENVU, R3 SCRUB by LIONSBOT.
Nine teams of university students took part in the first edition of the ISSA PULIRE Hackathon, which aimed at developing an innovative idea involving the digital tools, that can contribute to the ESG goals achievement through the work of cleaners. The jury proclaimed winner the Team sponsored by Papernet who presented a project that combines nature and technology. Second place for the Team sponsored by Vileda professional.
A major acknowledgment has also been assigned to entrepreneurship. In fact, ISSA has established the ISSA Distinguished Industry Award to recognize the activities carried out by companies in the sector in spreading the culture of cleanliness.
The winner of the prize was I.C.E. FOR, a leading chemical company in the Magenta sector in the province of Milan for the excellent results achieved in its decades-long activity as a manufacturer and supplier of chemical products for professional cleaning and for having contributed to spreading the values of Solidarity with highly effective corporate initiatives, of Sustainability and Legality.
